Our first prayer walk will be on Sunday, July 27 at noon!
We'll go to the Liberty Women's Clinic and walk through their building, praying for this amazing life-affirming ministry that supports women (and their families) who are facing an unexpected pregnancy. We will meet at Liberty Women's Clinic (1532 NE 96th St. Suite B, Liberty, MO 64068), where Jen (the Executive Director) will show us around and share some prayer prompts with us. After a time of prayer for the Liberty Women's Clinic, anyone who is interested can head to nearby Red Door Woodfired Grill for a self-pay lunch.
About Prayer Walks:
What is it?
We'll post a time and a place to meet. Whoever can come will gather, and we'll walk around a community or a building, taking time to intentionally pray to God for that location and the people there.
Where will we go?
We'll choose locations around our church and community. For example, two other planned locations so far are Martin Luther Academy and our very own Small Saints Preschool. We hope to hold a prayer walk in downtown Liberty as well. We'll also take suggestions - if you'd like to host a prayer walk in your neighborhood or another location, let Deaconess Kim know and she'll work with you to pick a date and gather prayer ideas!
What will we pray about?
We'll have some guided prayers for each location, either prayer requests we've gathered or general prayers that are appropriate for each location. You're also welcome to say your own prayers as the Holy Spirit guides you.
Will I have to pray out loud?
No! While we may invite people to lead prayers for the group, you can keep the conversation between just you and God if you'd prefer!
Who can come?
Anyone is welcome! We'll be sharing these prayer walks with our St. Stephen members, but you'll welcome to invite family, friends, or neighbors to join us.
